Gary Mize was elected
as Commissioner for District 3 in the November, 2004 election
Gary Mize introduces a fresh outlook to the office of Commissioner.
He has never held an elected office and is enthusiastic about
putting his values to work for the people of Hart County.
Gary is a life-long resident of Hart County. He graduated from
Hart County High School in 1986. He earned his Associate of the
Arts Degree from Truett McConnell College and has continued his
education by taking Business courses.
He is currently employed with Advantage Behavioral Health Systems
where he supervises a program that assists adults with developmental
disabilities. He has been employed in this field since September
of 1990.
Gary’s family is his pride and joy. He is the father of
two children, Nathan, 14; Teryn, 12; an adopted son Jacob, 14;
and a 14-year-old foster son. He attends Abundant Life Baptist
Church where he serves as Deacon and youth leader.
He is committed to principles of honesty and fairness and will
serve the people of Hart County with these principles as his guide.
Other strong values will motivate Gary in his new responsibility
as Commissioner. He believes in listening to the people of Hart
County and that all voices should be heard. He is a conservative
and wants to save money for taxpayers, while ensuring the citizens
of Hart County the opportunity for a good quality of life.
