As a division of the
Georgia Department of Human Resources we provide a variety of Nursing
and Environmental Health services.
Our clinical services include immunizations, women's
health and WIC (supplemental food program)and the Dental program.
Our environmental health section is responsible
for enforcement of several state regulations involving on-site sewage
systems (septic tanks), inspection of food service facilities (Scores),
tourist courts (hotels, motels, etc.), and public swimming pools.
We investigate complaints related to these programs as well as other
environmental problems. The department also conducts water samples
of individual wells for bacterial contamination.
