September 28, 2005 - Pharma Tech Industries (PTI) has acquired a manufacturing facility in Royston, Georgia from the Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. With the acquisition of the Royston facility, Pharma Tech, already the nation's leading manufacturer of topical powders, will be the top producer worldwide. As a part of the transaction, PTI will be a third-party manufacturer to Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. for a variety of consumer-based products, utilizing approximately 160,000 square feet of the 260,000-square-foot facility. The company hopes to market the remaining capacity to other clients needing pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity and experienced oversight for their proprietary processes, which are ear-marked for outsourcing.
